The chair of analytical chemistry was created on March 28. At the moment of chair’s creation there were such instructors: S.Oleksejuk, candidate of chemical sciences Zh.Kormosh, senior assistants S.Zyma and V.Somov, an engineer Yu.Osyp, assistants A.Isybutska and N.Artemyeva.

Doctor of chemical sciences, professor D.Semenyshyn, heads the chair.

The post-graduate school started its work in 2002.

The chair of analytical chemistry provides the educational process for the students of chemical and biological faculties in Volyn State University for obtaining of bachelor’s degree. There are such courses for them:

-         disciplines connected with professional and practical preparations: “Analytical chemistry” and “Methodology of teaching chemistry”.

-         cycle of free  student’s choice disciplines: “Chromatographical methods of analysis”, “Electrochemical methods of analysis”, “Organization of analytical service production”, “Organic reagents in analysis”, “Extraction in analysis”.

There are such disciplines which provide the educational process and prepare specialists and master’s degree: “Theoretical basis of analytical chemistry”, “Methods of division and concentrations”, “Optical methods of analysis”,  “Ionic associates in analysis”, “Analytical chemistry of the rare, dissipated and noble elements”, “Chemical control of environmental objects”, “Problems of modern chemistry”, “Metrology, standardization and certification”. The staff of the chair prepared 20 methodological manuals.

The chair has connections with scientific establishments in Ukraine and European Union:

-         Uzhgorod State University:

-         Niredgaza high school (Hungary);

-         Paul Yozef Shafaryk University (Koshitse, Slovakia).
