THE CHAIR OF GEOMETRY AND ALGEBRA

Candidate of physics and mathematics, assistant professor Valentyna Yakivna Illiashenko, heads the chair of geometry and algebra.

This chair was founded in1998 after the division of the chair of Mathematics, which appeared more than 50 years ago.

8 instructors work at this chair. 4 of them are candidates of sciences, assistant professors:  V.I.Illiashenko, O.M.Kravchuk, O.L.Shvai, T.V.Voloshyna and 4 are senior instructors: V.M.Kremin, L.D.Shyian, K.F.Philozof, O.P. Antonjuk.

The instructors of the chair provide teaching of such fundamental and elective courses as analytic geometry, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, differential geometry, algebra and the theory of numbers, methods of teaching mathematics, mathematical practical work in doing sums of elementary mathematics and specialized courses of geometry, algebra, methods of teaching mathematics.

The head of the chair Valentyna Iakivna Illiashenko graduated from the Lutsk State Pedagogical Institute, named after Lesia Ukrainka, speciality “Mathematics and Physics”, a post-graduate course in Kyiv State Pedagogical Institute, named after O.M.Gorkiy, speciality “Geometry and Typology”. She is  the candidate of physics and mathematics, assistant professor, honoured Teacher of Ukraine, the author of more than 70 scientific publications.
