On the psychological faculty large attention is paid to research work of students, which is within the limits of Scientific society of graduate students and students of the Volyn State University,  named after Lesia Ukrainka.

The history of Ntais of psychological faculty begins counting out of functioning within the limits of Institute of social sciences, where the tutors were candidate of philosophical sciences S.S. Voznyak, doctor of psychological sciences Z.P. Virna, candidate of psychological sciences V.S. Bazhanyuk. The supervisor of Scientific society of graduate students and students is a candidate of psychological sciences N.K. Vichalkovska.  

Problem groups under the direction of leading instructors of faculty are created:

- “Social-psychological aspects of position of man in society” is supervised by assistant professor  À.K. Mudrik;

- “The problem of socializations of personality in legal psychology” is supervised by senior teacher T.V. Fedotova;

- “Motivative determination of behavior and activity of a man” is a supervised by candidate of psychological sciences L.Y. Malimon;

- “Psycho-semantic research of cognitive, emotional, and motivational spheres of personality” is superwised by assistant professor L.V. Zasekina;

- “Psychology of professional activity” is supervised by Z.Y. Butolina;

- “Psychology of suicide” is supervised by assistant professor R.P. Fedorenko;

- “Forming of healthy way of life of young people” is supervised by assistant professor L.V.Potapchuk;

- “Psychology of difficult children” is supervised by assistant professor M.F. Babiy.

Since 2004 the list of problem groups in which the students are engaged after their own choice in research work is complemented:

- “Psychological  structure of a small group” is supervised by K.P.Olshevska;

- “Youthful aggression in the context of structurally developing theory of R.Kegan” is supervised by V.S. Khomik;

- “Corrective psycho-diagnostic” is supervised by V.M. Shpak;

- “Telephone consultation” is supervised by A.P.Melnik;

- “Diagnostic of individually typological differences” is supervised by V.V. Kardash;

- “Psychological help to students’ families” is supervised by M.I. Mushkevich.

Edition of collection of scientific labours of students, graduate students and teachers “Actual problems of psychology” to the annual scientifically current conference of Volyn State University is founded.

Besides, students’ voluntary organization “Impulse” functions at the psychological faculty, the purpose of which is propaganda of healthy way of life and healthy conduct of young people. The supervisor of the students’ activity is candidate of psychological sciences, associate professor Lyudmila Vladimirovna Potapchuk, who organized it in 1998.
